The significance; a customised home page that greets you every time you open your browser.
So I’ve always been a fan of having my own pages pop up when I open a new tab in Firefox or having my own homepage which contains all my favourite links, a quick search bar and a pleasant wallpaper (Still working on automating the wallpaper to pull from either tumblr or 500px)
So I set out over the weekend to create something which would not only be easy on the eyes but also very functional yet minimal.
I’ve always had a serious thing against clutter in my life and I prefer to make do with as little as possible. Which is why the minimalism was important to me.
The idea behind the project was to create a page for me with very easy access to all my most used links and to create the most seamless integration as possible (shortcut keys).
There is always work to be done and I am still busy on designing the page to fit any screen resolution and push out a mobile version as well for those who want it.
